Supervised and Unsupervised Classification

Here we have a map of current land use in German town, Maryland. I classified a satellite image in ERDAS using a supervised classification method. I started with 14 land use types and then created signatures for each of the land use types. After classifying these signatures, I recoded them into eight final land use classifications. I choose a band combinations that I felt was the best at clearly defining the classes and then used symbology in ArcGIS Pro that created an even clearer distinction between the classes.
